Oh, Lionel Stitchie, I would follow that hook and that hair anywhere.

Thank you Crochet Today! for featuring one of my bags and doing a little write up in the March/April issue which will be on stands February 8th. Obey Crochet is not even one yet, but I am thrilled so many hook heads have been enjoying it. I’ve been trying to answer emails and please be patient, I am a one hook show, but I do like to read your messages and it fills this cold hearted hook with crochet pride.
I don’t really know what to say besides thank you, thank you, thank you so check it out for yourself on page 8. Get your bag here and peruse the rest of the merchandise, I’ll be working on the shop all this week. I definitely still have plans and doodle ideas so check back and see what’s hookin’ here.
Excuse me, but I have to call my mom. Time to tell her about what I do in my spare time.

Seriously, this may come as a shock to you if you have not been listening to me for the last year, but, no, I don’t want to learn to knit. Really.
Am I missing any?

The enthusiasm of knitters is great, yet the bitterness of my stubborn heart is far greater. Alas, I have the joy now of not only explaining, “Yes, I crochet. No, I don’t knit. At all.”, can now be followed by, “Here have a button, a rub on tattoo, and check out the blog. That will explain it all.”
I wish you well as you hook on and your ferver for crochet grows with every stitch you make.
Hook on, Hookers, hook on.
P.S. Hooktopia is not going to fill itself, crafters! It is my fault for not pushing it more, but now I will be buggin’ you incessantly about it. Prepare to be annoyed. Well, slightly at least. Show your hooker pride! Email me your photos at hooker @ obeycrochet.com. Now.

My skills are so massive, you should not look directly into the hook. Exactly. I know.

With sweat still forming, I gasp and realized with massive relief, “It was only a dream.” It was an unfortunate vivid nightmare and I had to share the unpleasant experience with you. We are safe no where my hookers. No. Where. My warning: stay crochet. Stay. Crochet.

Happy Hookin’ New Year! I’m a back. Sorta. Getting there. Slowly. Really. Getting back in the game after glazed over eyes and sickening holiday merriment. The ear plugs have retired since the Christmas tunes have halted. I did get to hook up the holidays, getting some one and one time with my yarn, and craft away days under covers with coffee mug in hand. I will admit that the horrid weather (50 degrees is cold in Texas, people!) turned already treasured coffee into liquid winter crack.
Hope you got to indulge in a crochet buffet of sorts, hook anything special? receive anything yarnie? 2012 crochet goals? I may be uber late on this, but I just came out of my holiday calorie haze.
Don’t forget Hooktopia, that’s my 2012 goal and it should be for you. Let link the hooker community like some sort of odd, crafty, way cooler than what you recall yearbook.

You’re the winners of Edward test prints:
9) Samantha and 13)Ana V
Now you two hold the responsibility of reaching out and sending your addresses to me at hooker @ obeycrochet.com so I can get this handsome hookhands in the mail for you. Let me know where they end up in your crafty caves.
You all managed to make my stomach leap out of my body and attack the fridge and gracias for sharing your recipes and stories. Feel free to randomly do that whenever you want (I encourage it in fact) on the blog or on FB or twitter. I tend to eat breakfast for breakfast, lunch, and dinner so I’m always looking for new ways to stuff my face. Oh and my favorite breakfast? Eggs Benedict all the way or now, come to think of it, anything with an egg on it. Put an egg on it!
Hope you survive the holidays with as little blood shed as possible. Keep your hook strong and your yarn long!
