This site is ad free (I prefer it that way), I have a normal job, and would just like a little help to keep this bad boy running at full awesomeness.
There is an annual domain name fee, annual website hosting, free buttons I send in the mail, free temporary tattoos if I have the extra cash, and of course good quality paper, and pens.
Thanks INFINITELY for anything!
I love this SO much. It is perfect, and WAY more useful than a scarf. I am really enjoying the obeycrochet drawings. And I still have 4 penexplosions on my wall.
Wow, thanks for still following me and my random meanderings through life. Would you care for some Obey Crochet buttons? Free! Message me! Oh and first comment [virtual high five]
I absolutely love and have to meet you someday OC. Please God, grant me more social time to crochet with cool people and travel as necessary.
I don’t suppose you have crocheted anything computer related, have you??? I’m looking for a pic to feature.
Oooooo, or a cartoon involving a computer and hook. Seriously, let me know. I’m posting a computer tech article on Thursday and want to plug a fellow crochet artist by using it in a photo for the article. I’d love to plug your cartoons if you like. Backlinks and all. Let me know.
Fellow Texan, I will have to message you when I venture to Austin! It’s never long before I need to take a drive north. Computers huh? I have a little doodle I have not posted yet, will do it later tonight. Hope you like it.
Please do let me know when you are this way. We might get some CLF’ers together sometime next month. Not sure when. I wish I was already moved. 🙁
I’ll look for your doodle then! I just want to be sure to get permission to use your photo on my site as a link to your site. Professional courtesy et all.
You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be actually something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complicated and very broad for me. I’m looking forward for your next post, I’ll try to get the hang of it!
Loving those buttons!
Message me and get some! Hooker @ obeycrochet.com!
Love those buttons & comics! Too cute!
🙂
Do you hook?
I’m so glad you posted your photos of this! Infectiously snazzy!
Thank you! It was a really fun project.
So true! I’m an only child too and it have been decisive for my life and crafts: I only crochet what I would like to have for myself.
Only child in the house! Sharing is not in the vocab.
This is awesome! I am so pinning this & linking to this!
What?! What?!
Mmmmmnmmm….sriracha 🙂
Hey, don’t be eyeing my sriracha!
[…] And on the subject of granny squares, look what a twitter friend drew, this is SO cute! […]
Great site, glad you asked to follow on Twitter, cause now I am following you 🙂
I am fond of ladies that hook! Thanks for following back!
Mmm, I don’t think you’re safe. Hipsters love crocheting too. I know them and they are in Barcelona. I’m not one of them, of course… I’m just an informer, I guess.
So they really are everywhere?! What is the world coming too? [sigh]
What hook so bold! xDDD
That’s how I’m livin’
I love it
Heh.
Massachusetts!!
Oops, updated!
Oooh! I want some too, please! Message forthcoming.
Ye who shall ask shall receive.
Where is the facebook like link ?
Woops, thanks for catching that. The side bar is fixed, you should be able to link via all the images to the right.
Message sent! MUST.HAVE.THOSE.BUTTONS!!! TOO CUTE!
Hi! I’m from the Philippines! And I want some buttons. 🙂 I hope you can send me some. Please? Thank you.
Yes! We are international, send me your address here.
You make me smile and giggle and feel conspiratorial. I really love your comics! My other favorite is the ‘tell me about knitting’ one. Fascinating! ha ha!!! snicker snicker, evil grin…
Birds of a feather flock together.
Lovely! Congrats for the project!
Thanks! Doodlin’ apparently pays off.
Love the comparison between cat people and crochet people!!
It’s funny because it’s true.
I’m an Only, too! Anything I make has to be run through the “Would I like it too?” filter first. 😉
But, since I’m an awesome, fabulous person, I have excellent taste, and anything that passes my tests are wonderful. My parents STILL tell me so. 😉
But hey, all that alone-time growing up just makes it THAT much easier to sit by myself and crochet. I don’t need someone to talk to (since the hubby watches TV) and I don’t need approvals, although I ask for an occasional opinion (whether I listen to it or not is another thing..).
It all works out!
Only child for life! Keep not listening to everyone, that’s what I do.
I live in AZ, but I am from Macedonia. 🙂 I’d LOVE to have a button.
Will do, message me your address 🙂
Sweet! Buttons! Can I get some sent my way? 🙂
These are hilarious! 🙂
I am already thinking of round two with this one.
I adore the art. Especially the 2nd one on the top row. I would so buy it on a shirt.
Ha! Personal favorite and that might just happen 😉
I would put him between my picture of Batman riding a robot unicorn (in an antique frame) and the portrait of my boyfriend and I riding unicorns.
He’ll provide a nice contrast to the unicorns?
Awesome drawing.
I am an artist with pen and pencil much more than I am an artist with fibers, but a friend taught me to crochet and I can actually do it! Knitting has always been too delicate and sewing too tedious; I can really go at it with crochet needles, though, and it doesn’t destroy the project!
I love free. Specially free ninty free. And BONUS the free item is RAD! Crocheting isn’t a hobby it’s a life consuming yarn explosion that is my craft room. I would love to show Edward off in my cubicle with my other artsy fartsy items that no one understands but me! 🙂
mr. hookhands will go in a frame, placed on the floor (that’s how I display my art) next to my tinyprints collection. love the blog…….oh and i love to crochet (& knit).
OMG I love Edward Scissorhands almost as much as I love crocheting. So a print of Edward Hookhands… squeal!
Fucking sweet is all I have. Holy fucking sweet, maybe.
I would put Ed right by my side whenever I crochet, so he can inspire my amigurumis. Also, I love all your drawings!
Hookers of the world, unite!
It’s true. Hookers rule. Also, I <3 Edward.
OMG. I love this so hard. I would put it prominently in my craft room, except I don’t have real walls so it will just have to go in the living room!
I LOVE Edward Scissorhands and I LOVE crochet. I LOVE edward Hookhands. I would LOVE to win.
OMG!!!!!!!!! EDWARD! OMG!!!!! I LURRRRRRRVE Edward!!! I can’t even begin to say what I would do with him. Aww, geez, the movie was one of my all-time epic loves when I was a younger, gothy-er punkster. I would decoupage a custom frame for him and HANG HIM PROMINENTLY!
BTW, I love crochet. I’m a full-blown, snotty-custom-hook carrying crochet-lovin’ Hooker. I hook while I watch cool movies like, say, Edward Scissorhands. Or any other Tim Burton movie, for that matter. You know me as Craftwich on Twitter (or you should, people!)…you’ve been warned. 😉
This print is amazing! It combines my huge love of Edward and crochet, nothing better! 😀 I already have an awesome spot picked out for him, Looking over my sewing machine and yarn stash!
Edward Hookhands would live in a frame by my craft table/cabinet by the dining area. I love crocheting, it is what I do to relax and take my mind off stressful things – which means I do it often. I do it so much that I’ve opened an etsy shop dedicated to my work and even a blog. I started crocheting when a roommate in college introduced me to the world of crocheting. It went on from there and I have been HOOKED ever since!
Hookerz 4 Lyfe!
LOVE LOVE LOVE! Three of my favorite things in one 🙂 Original art, crochet hooks, and Johnny…er…Edward.
I Looooooooooooooovvvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeeeee Crocheting. No! Really I do.I think Edward would have to go in the craft room right above my yarn stash. So he could protect it from the Yarn Robbers. Then he wouldn’t have to steal it from me. But if he tried to steal it he would have to face my Awesome Ninja Kitty! DA DA Daaaahhhhhhh!
I love hooking, yes I do. I love hooking and clearly you do too!
Also, earlier today I was talking about putting hooks between my fisted fingers like Wolverene in case I was ever attacked. That’s kind of like Edward Hookhands. KIND OF.
Comments Closed!!
Hubba, hubba baby!!!! Pull me into knots!
Congratulations for your shop! And: Happy international crochet day!
Thank you! Happy International Crochet Day!
Happy International Hooker Day! 😀
Happy International Crochet… I mean Hooker Day!
So sad but so true… To cheer you up, let me tell that near my house, just in downtown, there’s plenty of women crocheting everyday in the streets… Here some photos: http://mibruno.com/las-tejedoras/
Have a nice day!
Cool! I hope to see something like that in my neighborhood one day. People need to craft more in general, crocheting would be awesome.
MUAHAHAHAHA! Now, wonder what color the yarn would be…..
I’m gross like that.
Whatever the color of old tacos, guacamole, and coffee is. Oh yeah, now I’m hungry.
Word on the street is that moms learned from YouTube. How cold and current that seems.
It took a whole village to teach me my hooking skills….as in aunts and grandma, and youtube…
Hookin ain’t easy! You’re aunt is amazing with those blankets!
I love love lovel Hookopotamus!!! Will you be adding her to your online shop?
YES! Hoping to get at least every drawing up on some item. I’ll post when I make new adds. All of a sudden I have a flood of ideas for drawing! This hookers working hard!
Both my grandmas. Mom was left handed, I was right handed, so they stepped in and helped. But it was my Grandma Dot who taught me the most, God bless her soul. She just died at the age of 91 little over a week ago. She really is the reason I do what I do.
Hooks up to Grandma Dot (cutest name ever) and sorry for your loss. It’s great that she passed on the skill to you and you carry it on well with all you do for the crochet community. I know grandma is proud!
The funny thing is, that the best cozy afgans are crocheted, not knit. I actually do both, but I prefer crochet, probably because I’ve been doing it since I was 7 and my grandma taught me. I love to learn new stitches and patterns. I taught myself to knit as an adult and have yet to complete a knitted project…. I’m so slow at it.
I have at least 3-4 crochet projects going at once and carry any of them that are portable, i.e. not to big yet, around with me.
I’m currently working on a diagonal stripped blanket. It’s pretty cool, here’s the Tutorial I found on Pinterest.
http://fantaisiesdeflo.canalblog.com/archives/2010/04/25/17686346.html
Happy Hooking!
Kara
3-4 crochet projects at once! Woo! That is what I like to hear! Looking for some winter projects myself but the goal is to at least make one of my own patterns. Hooks crossed.
After knitting three afghans I have resolved that all future afghans in my house will be crocheted. Product is just as good in half the time.
love hooky
I approve, but love is so strong and we just met! We haven’t even crafted yet! 😉
I like to crochet at bars, regularly, to give us crocheters some much needed publicity. “Why are you knitching in a bar?” I’ve been asked. Beer. Beer and football. I’m a hooker with needs!
Crochet in public, niiiiice. Beer and crochet, better!
Hookers and beer. Go together like…peanut butter and chocolate!
You? Are awesome.
I am new here. I am a hooker and I have been hooking since forever. I think I was six when a neighbor lady taught me.
I recently got sucked into sock knitting and feel kind of dirty about it, but I will grudgingly admit that my knitted socks are just … sockier … than my crocheted ones. *sigh*
But mostly I’m addicted to thread crochet and will continue until my hands are permanent claws and my eyes can no longer see things that tiny.
It’s about time! Love ya!
♥ You always know how to make me smile, thanks!
My name is Amber and I am a hooker. Less than 2 years on the job so I still consider myself a rookie hooker. I resisted the urge to learn knitting for a long time but I did recently give in. I am happy to report though that it didn’t stick and I am still knit-free.
I know you are anti-social but you should come to our crochet group sometime. We meet on Wednesday nights usually at a tea house on Fairview but sometimes at a Mexican place so email me if you want more info. You can find us on meetup. We’re lots of fun and a diverse group of weirdos.
Diverse groups of weirdos are my favorite kinds. Work usually has me working late but I don’t live far from there so I may have to change my ways and stop by. A Houston Hooker! Awesome!
i am susan. i am a hooker and i have been hooking since i was 8 …in 1990.
my SO always asks what i am knitting and i always respond loudly and proudly “I DON’T KNIT I CROCHET!”
“im a hooker” is a far better and possibly much more memorable response.
Thanks!
Susan the Hooker. What?! Like it!
I love the Beyonce!
I have a lot of old drawings I have not posted here but this is one of my favorites: http://www.flickr.com/photos/stoppin/5718736823/in/set-72157626593819391
Broomstick crochet. Hah! Crochet wins again!
I’m happily bi-craftual, but I have to say, I might have been tempted to just steer that person to the t-shirt paint or the rubber stamping stuff.
Hi! My name is Kelly and I’m a hooker. I learned how to hook in college from my boyfriend’s best friend’s cheating ex-girlfriend. I lost interest and my “blanket” turned into a really long, fat scarf. I retaught myself how to handle the hook while I was pregnant a couple years ago (thank you YouTube) and I’ve been hookin ever since. I mostly make hats because that’s all my attention span will allow. I do the occasional headband or purse if a friend requests. It’s so GREAT to find your site through CRAFT (love them!). I feel like I’m the only hooker in town sometimes. I belong to a craft group, but they’re all knitters. Thank you for your amazing drawings!! I’m going to visit your shop now. Oooh Tattoos! Did I miss them?!!
Sounds like someone I wouldn’t want to allow to have pointy sticks.
I like knitting, I love my knitting-y friends, but I love crochet like there’s no tomorrow. My knitting friends are JEALOUS (yes, that’s right, jealous) of my mad crochet skillz. So, there, anyone who thinks knitting is so much better…be jealous. Maybe if you’re nice to me, I’ll teach you how to be a proper hooker…
This is all kinds of awesome.
Husband and I played “Pigs in Space” the other day. It was awesome.
This is just TOO funny!! Thanks for sharing your talent and humor.
Hahaha. Actually, yes.
Oh, well, uh, I bet she is a fine crafter if she raised you!
Hahahaha! Can’t stop laughing at this one!
I love your drawings =)
Gracias Gigi 🙂
I really like the cartoon – It takes four of you to make a circle? Oh, and the sheep laying balls of yarn was a good one two!
Yay! (It’s true–I just got down to this in my RSS feed today. Clearly, I fail.)
🙂 On my tote bag as we type
What instruments are you auditioning for?
Kind of hard to work out the logisitcs of lone hookers being in a band together. We need anyone who is ballsy enough of crowd surf. Crowd surfing is very vital.
But where do they come from?
Dude, I just think you blew my mind.
Love it! Would love a t-shirt.
Simply frightening! Hahahaha I love it =)
I’m becoming addicted to your drawings 😉
It’s better than a smack habit!
SQUEAL!!!! Whoo and Hooo and woohoo! Your comics are the coolest and this one dedicated to me?! All mine!!! Thank you so much for this – you have made my day ever so special! For most of it I was groveling in the dirt in some rich folks’ yard trying to make thier lawn more perfect… so a little hookin humor was just what the doctor ordered! I am so honored and tickled and floored. All I can say is
I OBEY!
Love Sarah
Wow, best news I have heard all day, I should really be thanking you! Send me your address at hooker @ Obeycrochet.com so I can mail this baby to you! Glad to help a fellow hooker 😉 Stay crafty MsBusyfingers! I think you just thawed out this little black heart. 🙂
I really like the one with the early chicken getting the yarn worm. Great action pose!
..ballsy enough. HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA.
Man, I spent some of my most formative years listening to Skinny Puppy. I saw your doodle and knew what it was IMMEDIATELY. Made my day!
Oh, and as to the band..what if everyone played their instrument in a separate room and someone recorded and mixed it together? Just a thought. How that would translate into a show, not sure..maybe refrigerator boxes? Yeeeaaaaaa, there we go.
Fridge boxes! YES! Brilliant.
Those are super awesome and fit Sara perfectly!!
You’re just spectacular!!! When I picture a chicken hooker, I can’t help but wonder what kind of boots she wears;)
Ha, I was singing this song this morning before I even saw this posting. So great! 😀
Well played with the old school photo booth!
I can’t help but laugh at all of these pictures!
None of my friends get these jokes, and I try to show them and they’re just like, “Umm, okay Ashlynn…”
My grandma loves them though, 😀
<3 Ashlynn.
HI! GRANDMA!!!! You’re awesome!
I’ve got a fever for tha fiber
LOVE it!!!
Ooooohhhhh THIS IS EXCITING!! So. The goodie bag swag will be given both days to us anxious early birds? I am DEFINITELY making a nov. 12 appearance. Hooks, yarn, and all!
I meant 13th… 2nd day. I was blinded my excitement and type the wrong day!
I love these buttons! after only a few months of crocheting I’m hooked for life
I love Edward Hookhands. And Obey Crochet.
My favorite breakfast is two eggs sunny side up with runny yolks, buttered toast (to mop up the egg yolks), bacon, fruit salad, and coffee.
My favourite, most awesome breakfast was actually this week.
I’ve actually been in poor health lately and so I got permission to work from home for a day last week. Nromally, I would grab a quick muffin for breakfast or something simple, but because I wasn’t in the office, this wasn’t an option. My boyfriend conveniently didn’t have to work that day so he was also over at my place. When I explained about breakfast, he immediately just asked “well, what do you want to eat?”. He actually took the time to make me some delicious scrambled eggs and bacon while I toiled away on the laptop. It doesn’t seem impressive, but for me, the simple act of his doing me this favour without question and without complaint was one of the most uplifting and much needed moments I’ve had in a while.
Hookhands!!! My favorite breakfast of all times is chocolate gravy and biscuits. But since I’m too lazy to cook that much in the morning, I like Grape Nuts mixed into yogurt.
Fave breakfast? Well that would HAVE to be when someone ELSE makes it…my 12 Yr old, to be exact. He makes Belgian waffles!!! From scratch!! Does this hooker know how to run it, or what???? Muahaha. Oh and did I mention that I cried because I didn’t win the last Hookhands? Hehehe
Oh dear – mr. hook hands!
I like chopping up onion, bell pepper, and tomato into a microwaveable bowl. Then I tear up some budding meat (just a lil) and add some torn up pepper jack cheese. And then I add some egg beaters egg whites … just enough to cover up about half the veggies. AND THEN I pop it in the microwave for 2 minutes and eat it on a tortilla.
Great and filling – LOVE IT (and that picture!!!!!)
I love fried eggs. The best fried eggs ever were the three I had for breakfast the morning of my birthday and the week that I experienced a number of interconnected coincidences involving Vladimir Nabokov, Robert Smithson, the hypercube, and hobos. The fact that it was my birthday and fried eggs were being served in the dining hall that day meant eating 3 was pretty much inevitable.
Eggie in a basket. I like the name more than I like the actual food. My favorite breakfast is waffles. Or a McGriddle (and I ain’t ashamed to say it). Or a McMuffin. Or a bacon/egg/cheese conglomerate of any type really.
I make French toast using a burger bun and serve it with sliced banana, crispy bacon and syrup. I do not generally crochet the bacon first – it has been done, but I’m usually too hungry to bother!
Hookhands is awesome!
My mama lovingly prepares the BEST fried eggs, toast, sausage and grits. No matter how hard I try, I can’t make it myself or get that stuff at a restaurant half as good as my mama makes it. Must be some kind of “mama voodoo” or something….
I want to win Edward for my wife, Leora, ’cause she’s an awesome hooker and hooker-pimp (that is, the one who taught me), but I’ll tell you about my favorite breakfast.
I love messy breakfasts. Big, messy breakfasts. My favorite is the appropriately named “American breakfast” at the Artist’s Cafe in Chicago. They make a stack out of a pancake, hashbrowns, Canadian bacon, and an egg, and then they pour hollandaise sauce all over it.
It’s such a gooey mess that my poor wife could barely look my way while I was eating it. But I dream about it sometimes.
Fave breakfast is my PB&J waffles: peanut butter waffles (waffle batter made forom scratch with swirls of creamy peanut butter), stacked slathered with layers of peanut butter and jelly (my favorite is a local blackberry preserves from our farmers market) and topped with peanut butter whipped cream. That’s right. Peanut butter whipped cream. I’d eat that off a brick.
Hooker for life… – Leora the Sane
I love to make this thing with crescents flat in a baking pan. Then pour medium scrambled eggs over top, mix with favorite breakfast meat and cover with some sprinkle cheese. Bake for 30 minutes and then slice and eat.
MMMMMMmmmm breakfast. i feel breakfast should be enjoyed for lunch and dinner as well. My most favoritist breakfast ever is eggs benedict, with spiniach and tomato extra holindaise sauce, with fruit and home fries. A tub of coffee to compliment. nomnomnom….enjoy your breakfast!!
My favorite breakfast: homemade vegan “sausage”, scrambled tofu with portobello mushrooms, collard greens, and green onions, rye toast, sliced tomatoes, and home fries with smoked paprika.
“Hookopotamus. Hooko for short.” For sure.
“Fondle You” is one of my personal faves!
Hi! My favorite so far is “Only child” because I feel so identificated with the hook. Thanks for the giveaway!
My favorite is a classic–it’s the blushing, hand-holding knitting needles with the scathing hooka line: “You guys are so codependent”. It works on a lot of levels. You rock!
No doubt, one of my faves is ‘Hipsters vs Grandmas. Grandmas win’. xDDDD
You rock!
My favorite is the Hooker Hooker. =)
mine is DEFINITELY the “what are you thankful for” that came out last week. “DID I SAY COFFEE?”
Skein and Bones! So true 🙂
Oh my gosh, hands down this one: http://www.flickr.com/photos/stoppin/6031368826/in/set-72157626593819391
This was the first drawing from Obey Crochet I had ever seen and I was cracking up. My friend (who knits) is the most bubbly, cheerful, kind of clingy dog person, and I’m the surly, sarcastic cat lover. It was just too perfect! 🙂
Seriously? I have to pick a favorite? And then you might give me a pretty bag and yarn? If you insist – I like “Useful things” most. That is exactly why I chose to learn crochet.
I love “speakingg knit”!
do i have to pick just one? I LURVE THEM ALL. but i think ‘fondle’ is extra special: http://www.obeycrochet.com/2011/07/fondle/
Fondle You. I can imagine roaming thru yarn with my fingers. Ooooh, aaaah!
Definitely “The things I love hurt me.” I mostly crochet and browse Reddit, heavily, throughout the day and this comic is so true. It speaks to me.
I love the “Fuzzy Yarn Do you ever shave one”…NO heehee! cracks me up. but seriously, so hard to pick a fave! thanks for the giveaway!
I agree with Amber you really expect me to pick a favorite!!??
Oh if you insist… “Underdog”
yay! i love all your drawings and it’s a hard pick!
if i really have to say one: “son of a knitter”.
and thanks for the giveaway 🙂
Edward Hookhands. Deppinately!!!!
P.S.
agree that ’tis the season for crochet-neighbors are all getting homemade food gift baskets with crocheted wash cloths/potholders backed with fabric!
It’s so hard to pick! but I sooooo love Cat People vs Dog People!
I love your comics- my favorite is the knitting needle in the graveyard… you rock! Happy Thanksgiving!
I absolutely LOVE “Why don’t you make more useful things?” – it is so true! I think anything made out of yarn is useful – even if it doesn’t make the recipient happy, it made me happy to make it 🙂
“Stepdad” is my fave.
Ooh ooh, it might be Monday night here in Sydney, but I think I can still make it in…
I love ‘Why can’t you make more useful things?’
Awesome. Thanks.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this. I’ll be chuckling all day about it.
I am so with you on the computer & crocheting thing. Some nights my hands ache so much … and yet I go back and do the same thing the next day.
Hand surgery, here I come! LOL I can see me after surgery with my wrists/hands all wrapped up and someone asks me what happened and my response would be “Oh, you know … just some surfing & hooking.”
I love, love, LOVE your site. Tonight was my first time here and I spent a good hour surfing through and checking out all the cool stuff. I definitely plan on getting a picture soon to you for Hooktopia. And I’d love to talk about you on my blog, if that is okay with you!! HOOKERS UNITE!! Lol!
So excited to find a crochet blog! Like you said in “The Story” no dis to knittas, but I too crochet only and am only 30! And three day into the new year, I found out a cloe friend was pregnant and desired a hooked baby blanket, not the quilt I immediately started planning! Argh! So now I am retraining my hand to hook. Painful. Will definitely be checking in and following!
Hi. I absolutely LOVE this picture! I found it via KnitHacker and was wondering if I could use it for my Ravelry icon? I know you probably will say no since it’s your pic but I thought I’d ask. I love bulky yarn while the rest of the knitting world seems to love sock yarn! Thanks!
No prob, I like showing up as icon photos, etc as long as you don’t say you drew it, then it gets weird. Feel free and thanks for spreading the love.
Hey now, what’s wrong with a lefty hooker???? Tell her she is NOT ALONE. In fact, Julia of Aberrant Crochet dubbed my hold the “spider crawl” or some shit. Yea, I rock the hook THAT HARD.
😉
(Bowing to the lefty spider hooker)
Haha. Love.
Shhh! I’m counting! That should be my motto.
Diddo!
I love your site! You are too funny, & way to cool hooker! Any quick ideas to crochet for Mothers day, etc. Trying to stay on top of things…I see something I like & have the stash, but get bogged down at the time it will take! (the length of the instructions) But then again, I always love the finished projects! Any quick elegant gifts…please advise….Thanks, for you help in advance!
You need a circular needle? besides double pointed needles? to make something round/circular?
Can you make cables with crochet?
I’m making socks
This is amazing. It’s all SO TRUE!
LOVE this list. I would add:
-It’s not a needle, it’s a hook.
-No, there’s only the one hook.
-I don’t know if it’s easier than knitting. I don’t care.
HAHAHA! Yep those are good ones!
That is AMAZING! Hahaha
LOVE!
love this!
dang, now I got the Weird Al version stuck in my head..LOL
Love, love, LOVE this!
LOVE!!!!! I didn’t request it, but I LOVE da zombies, so CHEERS!!!!!!!!!!
Lionel Stitchie! You make me smile so wide my cheeks ache.
ahahahah oh my God, I’m watching all of your drawings, and this makes me laugh so much, I say (in italian language of course) every every sentence in this picture, especially “not sure what I’m making, I’m just going to make it up!” and “shhhhhh I’m counting!” every time my sister or my mother ask me “what are you doing this time???” XDDDDDDDDD
AHAHAHAHHAHAH XDDDD Why don’t you send this drawing to Lionel Richie????

omg, I love him! 🙂
“Even between the yarn and the hook” Yoda said that? Hmmm… you should add him to the hooker gallery. 🙂
I might be taking a bit of artistic license on that one 😉
So true.
This is awesome!
LOL!! I love this! 🙂
Wanna know something weird? Of course you do.
This really, really speaks to me right now. I’m in the middle of a particularly nasty case of Second Sock Syndrome and then I came across this message of yours. It’s terribly poignant and timely and has given me the proper arse kicking I need. I would just like to thank you for encouraging me to keep on hookin’ and finish that other GD sock.
Hook on, my friend, hook on.
Glad this gave you the jolt, jump, kick, and push you need to concur that sock! That sock is sooo gonna get it!
Don’t make your hands bleed. I’m totally happy to fund pens, paper, hosting, coffee, yarn, and sarcasm-fuel but I’m not behind you getting bandages because you’ve suffered so much for the snark. Now matter how cute the bandages are.
It may be because it’s late, but I had to hunt for the donation button. I wouldn’t be against you sticking it in this post or making it a bit more obvious. Your drawings are awesome and funny and make me proud to be a hooker. That level of awesome justifies a not-hidden donation button.
I just bought some buttons… I hope that helps a little? Thank you so much for making me chuckle on a regular basis (not easy, I’m German ^_^)
Thank you very much and all the way from Germany! Wonderful!
Hahahaha! Love it.
Like us hookers HAVEN’T thought of this? Huh?
9mm? I that all? Why, I got a 19mm right here for ya, babe… Oh. Sorry. Pardon.
Where’s my nine,yo?

Ha! Love this. Hx
How many states have towns called Hooker in them? Are you going to hit them all?

Hi! I enjoy your blog so much. I’ve just nominiated you for the Versatile Blogger award, which I’m sure you’ve already received many times, but here it is again 🙂
HA! I don’t say “counting”, I start to say the numbers I’m counting really loud, so as not to lose count. “41, 42, 43, 44!”
[…] Obey Crochet is my new favorite craft blog. First, because crocheters are awesome. (Hookers, represent!) Second, because I’m also blunt and sarcastic. Third, because I nearly fell out of my chair laughing last week when I saw this little piece of brilliance. […]
